Overview

Jobli allows employers to reach out to candidates with disabilities easey.
Jobli creates a stress free, simple and more accessible job search process for the candidate.

Winning project from 31 projects to a 3-day hackathon development by a team of 14 programmers from CyberARK.
This project is a collaboration with the MAX initiative and the Akim organization.

Understanding the problem

  • Employees with disabilities are often perceived as unprofitable and as needing additional resources and requiring longer adjustment periods.
  • Job seeking or recruitment is incredibly complex and time-consuming.
  • Due to their disabilities, some job seekers have difficulty dealing with employers who refuse to hire them.

Background

We were inspired to create this project after seeing a girl in the news who introduced herself as someone who had lost her job because of covid-19, and details how difficult it was for her to find a new job.

All this led us to research and realize what the workplace means for people with disabilities and what their value is to the Israeli economy and society.

Research

The research is based on quality interviews with job candidates with disabilities and employers.
Collaborating with Akim to understand the barriers and difficulties faced by people with disabilities in their journey to get a job.

How it's work?

The questions are read (text to speech), support voice commands with visual aids, and automatic selection in the event that no answer is given.

Regardless of whether or not you have skipped selecting an interface, you can always change the answers in the settings.

The user's profile is used for a resume within the app, and the registration process is broken down into steps for the process to be intuitive and easy for the user to complete.

Introduce yourself via video

We created a video introduction script that the candidate could use based on the information provided in his profile.

A video introduces the candidate and his abilities to the employer while reducing the employer's concerns about disability.

Reflection and Key Takeaways

The project gave me the opportunity to put my design skills to good use by creating a user experience that would benefit both people with disabilities and employers who wish to hire people with disabilities or are required to do so by law.

Challenges:

  • Overcoming stereotypes, fears by taking into consideration user feelings and needs.
  • Adapt the interface to all users easily without compromising the user experience.
  • Working smart, using coarse filtering allows for more accurate results when multiple filters are layered on top of each other much simpler for the end-user as well as the programmer.
